E-commerce and POS system integrations

Integrating e-commerce and POS systems with EpisXperience offers numerous benefits that enhance both customer experience and business operations. These integrations facilitate the management of loyalty programs across various sales channels, providing a unified and consistent experience.

Benefits:

  • Seamlessly integrate customer registrations into the loyalty program.

  • Enable customers to earn and redeem loyalty incentives online and/or in-store.

  • Deliver personalized offers and journeys based on purchase history.

The main goal of these integrations is to provide the loyalty program with transactional data (such as purchase amounts, products purchased, and date and time of purchases) to accurately reward customers based on their purchase behavior.

Customer order data can be processed through direct integrations with POS and E-commerce channels or via centralized middleware systems.

E-commerce integration

E-commerce integrations are crucial for channel customers’ transaction data, which is essential for an online loyalty program. Additionally, loyalty program registrations should also be managed either during webstore registration or via a membership site built into the webstore.

EpisXperience support the integration of any platform by providing the necessary API endpoints to get and send transactional data.

POS

The mentioned APIs can also be used by POS systems to register and reward in-store purchases in the loyalty program. Typically, transaction data is sent to EpisXperience, while customer registration is less commonly used from this channel.

For detailed information, refer to the In-store integration document.

EpisXperiencehas also integrated with Klippa’s DocHorizon technology, to track and reward transactions from non-integrated POS systems as well. This solution enables loyalty members to scan their receipts received in the store at checkout and be rewarded by the loyalty program. Read more in our Klippa user manual.

Data platform integrations

EpisXperiencele leverages comprehensive data about customers, products, stores or any other entity, relevant to managing your loyalty platform. Such diverse data gives you an omnichannel capabilities that enhances customer interactions across online and physical stores. This data consists of

  • Internal data gathered from various EpisXperience modules and loyalty schemes,

  • Personal information and transaction data provided by connected systems,

  • Product data data provided by connected systems like PIM or ERP.

Data integration methods:

EpisXperience accommodates data integration in real-time or through daily/nightly batch uploads. This flexibility ensures timely updates of customer data, product data, points, and coupons, minimizing errors and fraud risks.

Accumulated loyalty program data can be stored and analyzed on various platforms:

  • ERP: Integration with Enterprise Resource Planning systems enhances operational efficiency and process automation.

  • CDP: Customer Data Platform integrations facilitate unified customer profiles and targeted marketing campaigns based on comprehensive data insights.

  • CRM: Synchronizes loyalty data with Customer Relationship Management systems like Salesforce, enhancing customer engagement.

  • PIM: Product Inventory Management platrorm integration facilitate unified product catalogue, streamlining and enhancing the handling of orders only requiring the submission of the Product ID.

  • Data Warehouses: Supports centralized storage and analysis in solutions like Teradata or Amazon Redshift, enabling strategic decision-making through comprehensive data analytics.

For detailed instructions on configuring integrations, refer to EpisXperience’s API documentation, to ensure seamless synchronization of loyalty data with your preferred data platforms.

Activity tracker integrations

An activity tracker refers to any platform that generates, monitors, and submits events to the EpisXperience platform. The EpisXperience platform's loyalty programs can trigger rewards based on these external events. For instance, a billing system can send an "invoicePaid" event to notify EpisXperience that a customer has completed a payment. In response, EpisXperience will reward the customer for timely invoice payments.

Customer Mobile & Web applications

The member mobile and web applications play a crucial role in a loyalty program by providing customers with easy access to their rewards, points balance, and personalized offers. These platforms enable users to track their activity, redeem rewards, and engage with the program through features like digital wallets, push notifications, and gamification. They also enhance customer interaction by allowing seamless participation in promotions, feedback collection, and personalized experiences, ultimately driving engagement and brand loyalty.

The EpisXperience platform provides a comprehensive Display API that enables you to integrate any mobile and web applications. The Display API is organized into distinct categories, each focusing on a specific set of functionalities:

  • Coupons: Endpoints listing all coupons associated with a specified customer, allowing customers to claim or revoke coupons, and retrieve all claimed coupons for a specified customer.

  • Customers: Endpoints providing core features for creating, logging in, activating customers, and resetting their passwords.

  • Promotions: Endpoints listing all available offers.

  • Rewards: Endpoints listing available rewards, allowing customers to claim or revoke rewards, submit bids for bidding rewards, and retrieve all claimed rewards for a specified customer.

  • Analytics: Endpoints providing detailed information and search capabilities for customer transactions, including transaction IDs, and statuses.
